The MIS Club Career Night is an event that brings companies and students together. Each company that attends is looking to hire students for internships and careers in IT and tech. Leave the suit jacket at home and network with recruiters in a more relaxed environment before attending the Business, Industry and Technology Career Fair the next day.

All students, regardless of major, are encouraged to attend!

When & Where
The MIS Club Career Night will take place on Tuesday, February 11th from 7:00 – 9:00 PM at the ISU Alumni Center in the Reiman Ballroom. Students can begin checking in at 6:45 PM.
What to Expect
Over the past several years we have had great success with this event. On average, we have about 45 companies attend and over 100 students! For students, this means shorter lines, less walking, and no maps required to find a specific company. For recruiters, you can rest assured that these students are excited to meet you and are looking for a career in tech.
When we say business casual, we mean it! Suits are not allowed. We take strides to create a more relaxed environment so that you can focus on making connections and getting the job! We even have catered refreshments so you can take a break from the action between companies.
Students
- Prepare
- Write your resume and get it critiqued by Business Career Services. Research attending companies of interest on CyHire. Prepare your elevator speech.
- Perform
- Ask insightful questions about the business. Provide resumes and ask for business cards and contact info.
- Pursue
- Follow-up the next day with recruiters at the Business, Industry and Technology Career Fair. Apply on CyHire for interviews. Many recruiters participate in On Campus Interview days. Send a follow-up note or email after each interview.

- Sign Up
- Email Business Career Services to sign up. Post your open positions on CyHire. Find a student that’s a perfect fit for your team.
- Invite Alumni and IT Staff
- Bring your MIS alumni to the MIS Club Career Night to establish rapport with students. Share your post-grad and new hire experiences. Hire our great students!
